2 Day Workshop

Dates: 2 & 3 May 2026

Time: 9.00am - 4.00pm on Saturday / 9.00am- 3.30pm on Sunday

What to Bring:

All materials are supplied - please just bring an apron.

Included: Morning tea, lunch, nibbles with gin and tonic around the firepit on Saturday night.

Join Cath from The Happenstore for a two day fabric adventure.

This workshop will excite you with the joy of making your own fabric and then creatively stitching into it.

Everything thing is provided..so you can relax and completely enjoy the creative process.This workshop is suitable for any level of expertise as you can make it as simple or complex as you like.

We will talk and discover the entire process through screens, fabric, colour, inks into thread stitches and JOY! Combined with Simmone’s delicious treats this is a special workshop.

You will develop a piece of fabric that you can work further upon in the cooler months.The theme of nasturtiums is one we will look at along with a poppy..two beautiful flowers for you to play with..

I would love to share this process with you in the most inspiring wonderful place, Essington Park.

We will end our wonderful day with locally distilled gin and tonic around our fire pit.

This wil be a truly wonderful 2 days of discovery and making and chatting and laughing… can’t wait to see you!

About Cath:

From John Caldor in the 80’s to Art Park in the 0’s to Prints Charming and Original Fabrics in the 2000’s, I’ve been a textile designer for a long and wonderful time! Today I share my passion through commissions, workshops, and bespoke fabric and artisan projects.
